Mark your calendars now for Wild River Grille’s “Dinner with Your Dog” during the month of April. When you dine at this beautiful restaurant nestled along the banks of the Truckee River in downtown Reno on Mondays in April (with or without canine accompaniment) a percentage of the proceeds go to support Shakespeare Animal Fund. What a great way to have a delicious meal and support an important cause! By the way, when you dine, be sure to say you’re there to support Shakespeare!
Shakespeare was also featured on a national radio show called “All My Children Wear Fur Coats,” on natureschannel.fm. The host continually encouraged listeners to support Shakespeare and repeated our web address multiple times. Very good publicity! You can listen to the episode here.
Our website reminds us of Mahatma Gandhi’s beautiful quote: “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” May we continue to stop the suffering of animals by getting them the medical treatment they need and deserve. Thanks for caring, and please share what we do so that others have the opportunity to help as well.
By the way we are looking for some folks who can help us document, through video, some of the recipients we help. Rather than just show photos, when we can make it happen it would be great to have 60 seconds of testimonials on how we helped save their dogs or cats. What do you think? If you know anyone who might volunteer to help, please let us know.
Thank you for your passion and your support!
