The most popular name for dogs, according to one survey, is Max, and other popular names are Molly, Sam, Zach and Maggie.

That 62% of US households have a pet, which means there are about 72.9 million homes with a loving creature. Forty five percent of dogs sleep in their owner’s bed (probably most hog the covers as well, but no statistics there).

Some amazing facts about dogs and cats include…

I have no family. Summer (the Cavalier) is my only family. I live on $786 a month, Social Security, and I am able to survive with food stamps and Medicaid for myself. Susanna B.

We offered help to Susanna and hundreds of others who need help. You can help in a variety of ways:

Make A Donation:

We can easily pay $5 for a fancy cup of coffee these days. And if you would consider giving only $5 a month (the price of that cup of coffee) over the course of a year it would get one wounded or suffering animal to the vet. That’s spectacular, for only $5 monthly.
