To:
ShakespeareMy name is Sonia Mitchell, my family wants to thank you on
behalf of our loving Belle. She is our 3 year old Chihuahua who was
severally injured Christmas day 2006.
We are young grandparents living day by day raising 4 young grand
kids. Without your help our Belle wouldn't be with us today. This is
Belle's Story:
Christmas day 2006 we went snow tubing with the grandkids, upon
returning home in the evening, Our Belle couldn't walk, and was in a lot
of pain. The following day we called every veterinarian in the yellow
pages (Reno, Sparks, Carson and even Fernley areas) asking if they will
take payments as funds were short with Christmas for the kids. Not one
would help us. We were referred to Shakespeare, stating they help with
funds for animals in need of immediate care.
I called Shakespeare and spoke with Bill. When speaking with him, he
asked what had happened, upon explaining I became very upset and
distraught. Bill was very compassionate, caring and understanding. He
made me feel relaxed and calm again. He referred us to a few vets that
work with their organization, ensuring me they would take care of Belle
even though it was during the holiday season. Belle's leg was actually
broken beyond repair. With the help from Shakespeare, stepping in and
helping with $100.00. But with a referral to a vet that accepted
payments on the balance. Belle's leg was amputated her pain and
suffering ceased.
Within two days Belle was back home with her family. Close to a year
later Belle is alive and well today all due to Shakespeare and the
volunteers that work for them. In a few weeks Belle will be a mother,
she is very active and happy. Even though she only has 3 legs she can
run faster than our other dogs with 4 1egs. She's very happy and healthy
today thanks to Shakespeare. Without the amputation the next option
would have been euthanasia. And that was never an option for us, but we
wouldn't have made it without Shakespeare's blessing. Thank you
Shakespeare for your personal concern, support and financial donation.
With the sale of Belle's puppies we are honored to place a $200.00
donation, knowing the funds will help another loved fur baby thrive for
life.
God Bless Shakespeare and the volunteers for there generosity, love,
concern for our family and Belle.
